Real Pay · Paid research studies
Is Prolific worth it? Its real pay, after the fees nobody lists
Fully computableProlific is the only studies platform in this census with a published, enforced pay floor — $8 an hour minimum, $12 recommended. That is why it is here and the penny-survey apps are on the Legit shelf instead. The catch is supply: studies appear when researchers post them, and screeners eat minutes you are not paid for.
The part the poster skips: Your real rate is set by the screeners you fail and the refresh time between studies. Count a full week, not your best day — the community log above averages about $15/hour across a year, and it is a good year.

Week one, in short
Day 1: complete every profile question. Your profile is the screener key — half-finished profiles see half the studies.
